Find Steps
Unplug the stand from the power source.
Open the lid with a flathead screwdriver, being careful to hold it up (there are cables that are connected inside).
Unplug the black power cord at the very bottom on the left side, and close the lid.
Slowly lower the stand on its side to the ground.
Take off the bottom plate with the allen key, and unplug the power cord from the power box.
Use the flathead screwdriver to take the rubber piece off and slide the cord out. (Take the rubber piece off of the cord and set aside for future use).
Raise the stand upright again.
Open the lid and drop the metal ball down to the floor, holding the other side of the string.
Close the lid leaving the string hanging on the side.
Lower the stand on its side, tie the string to the new power cord on the new plate we sent you, pull string all the way up while it is on its side.
Take out your new power chord and fit the rubber piece onto the plug, stick the cord back through the opening, and fit the rubber piece back into place on the stand.
Plug the power cord back into the power box on your new plate and fit the plate back on the stand w/ screws.
Slowly raise the stand upright, open the lid to find the power cord and untie the string from the power cord.
Filter the power cord through the holes on the right side of the stand to secure the cord from falling, and then plug the cord back into the mainboard on the left side.
Plug it into your power source and voila, power!
Changing the sticker
Find Steps
Remove the sticker currently sitting on the stand.
Peel the new sticker off of the protective layer.
Align the edges of the new sticker to the edges of the stand.
Use a card to smooth out any air bubbles trapped underneath.
How to use the staff cards
Find Steps
The easiest way to use the staff card is to tap the card on the screen where it says “present card”.
The arms will open in sequence from left to right
If you want to open a specific row: hold the card on the side of any light and click the wheel underneath one time away from you.
Wait 2 seconds and the light will turn green with a clicking noise.
Note here that you can only use the staff card on the direct arms if there are 5 or less umbrellas in the row.
Rebooting mainboard and cellmodem
Find Steps
Open the lid with a flathead screwdriver, being careful to hold it up (there are cables that are connected inside).
Find the main board at the very bottom of the lid, it will have a port with an ethernet plugged into it. There will be 1 green light on and a yellow light blinking at this port.
Unplug this ethernet cable from the port.
Take your flathead screwdriver and place it in the opening where the green light is flashing on the face of the mainboard box.
Slide the flat head screwdriver all the way down and press the small bottom in this opening to reboot the mainboard.
Wait 10 seconds and plug the ethernet cable back into the port where the green and yellow light were.
Close the lid and unplug the entire machine.
Wait 10 seconds and plug the machine back in.
The machine will reboot for a few minutes and the screen on the payment terminal should say “present card”
To reboot the cellmodem, find the box at the very top of the lid, it will have a blue strip with multiple green lights on.
Find the bottom that says “reset” on the cell modem.
Take your pin or pointed object and press the reset button for 2-3 seconds. You will see the lights turn off and on again.
Close the lid and unplug the entire machine.
Wait 10 seconds and plug the machine back in.
The machine will reboot for a few minutes and the screen on the payment terminal should say “present card”
Correct lights inside your lid
Find Steps
Open the lid with a flathead screwdriver, being careful to hold it up (there are cables that are connected inside).
First look at the cell modem, the very top box that has a blue strip of lights.
The LAN section on the very left should have 2 out of the four lights on, it doesn't matter which ones.
The online light should be on.
The system should be on and possibly blinking.
The signal bars should have at least 2 bars.
And of course the power light should be on.
Now look at the bottom box called the main board.
The ethernet port going into the main board should have a green light and a blinking yellow light.
The opening on top of the mainboard should have a pulsing light blue light.
If any of these lights are not as described above, please contact us and we will help you further.
Changing an endnote chord
Find Steps
Unplug the stand.
Unscrew the screws underneath the endnote.
Slide out the old endnote (you can give a gentle pull).
Unplug the ethernet cord by clicking the small button.
Set the endnote aside for the time being.
Open the lid with a flathead screwdriver, being careful to hold it up (there are cables that are connected inside).
Locate the faulty cable, unplug from the mainboard, and pull out of the bar (arm).
Exchange the ethernet chord for the new one we sent you by sliding it through the opening and plugging it into the open port on the mainboard.
Now you are ready to plug the ethernet chord into the endnote and screw the endnote back on.
If you need to switch the cable on the corner ones, no worries the steps are the same, just with little tweak.
For the corner arms, we’ve sent you a strap to make the process easier. Simply insert the cable through the opening on the strap, then use the strap’s end to guide the cable through the hole smoothly.
After your new chords or on, your endnotes should work as normal but if not, please inform us so that we can help you further.
Lights are off - no power on the stand
Find Steps
There is no power to your stand and all the lights are off on the machine? Here are the steps you should follow.
First things first, check to see if the stand is plugged into a socket.
If it is, you will next check to see if the stand is plugged in underneath the stand.
Slowly lower the stand to the ground on its side and find a power box similar to a laptop charger box at the very bottom of the stand.
Make sure the plug is fully in the power box at the bottom and place the stand upright again.
If the lights are still not on the machine, check to see if your outlet is working by plugging a phone charger or other device into the outlet. If you have power on your other device, there is one last step to check.
Open the lid with a flathead screwdriver, being careful to hold it up (there are cables that are connected inside).
Inside your lid, check to see at the very bottom of the black mainboard box on the left side if the power chord is fully plugged in.
If your lights are still not on, please inform us so that we can help you further.
Changing the cables on payment terminal
Find Steps
There is no power to your payment terminal, or we have sent you new cables to change on your payment terminal? -Here is what you do.
First we will open the back of the stand with a flathead screwdriver, being careful to hold it up (there are cables that are connected inside).
At the top of the inside, you will see a small box with a red and white cable and a blue ethernet cable plugged into it.
If these are not plugged in, plug them in to see if the power comes on.
To change the chords, gently unplug the white and red cable out of the payment terminal box and the other end of the chord going into your main board.
Gently unplug the blue ethernet cable out of the payment terminal box and the other end of the chord going into the cell modem box (the one with a blue strip).
Take out the new chords we have sent you, plug them both into the same outlets you took the old ones out of, and close the lid back up with your flathead screwdriver.
If there is still no power or lights on your payment terminal, let us know and we will assist you further.
If you do receive power after swapping the chords, close the lid and reboot your machine by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
Once you receive the message “Present card” on your payment terminal, you are good to go!
“Waiting for cloud” message
Find Steps
The first thing you should check is the location of your stand, is it near a door or front entrance?
Next, check your antenna on the left side of the stand. It is the black stick that can be moved around right in back of the umbrellas. Make sure the antenna is fully screwed and not damaged. If you give it a tug, it should feel firmly secured to the stand.
If the antenna is fully screwed on and not damaged, next reboot the machine by unplugging it, waiting 10 seconds, and plugging it back in.
After a few minutes of rebooting, the screen should come to “present card”.
If you have changed your antenna and the screen still says, “waiting for cloud”, try moving the stand to a different location, the closer to a door or entrance, the better.
Once you have moved the stand, plug it back in and wait for the message “present card”.
If you still have the message “waiting for cloud” on your screen, let us know and we will help you further.
