Every umbrella empowers a greater impact!

Indonesia is one of the countries most affected by plastic pollution, and much of it ends up in the ocean. You see it everywhere: in rivers, on beaches, in communities doing their best to manage a challenge that’s just too big to face alone. Our CEO, Andreas, and Head of Customer Success, Anne, traveled over 11,000 kilometers from Denmark to Bandung, Indonesia, to visit our sustainability site in partnership with rePurpose Global. They witnessed firsthand how your support is transforming plastic waste into lasting impact and now, they’re sharing what they learned through our short film below.

It’s been a humbling experience.

Dear Dripdrop Friends,
Plastic is a big part of our daily lives. For Dripdrop, umbrellas contain plastic which has always been a bit of a contradiction: creating something designed to last, but made from a material that often doesn’t end up where it should. That’s why, when we first chose to support this initiative, our focus was on plastic waste.

Having visited Bandung, Indonesia and seeing the work firsthand, we quickly realized this mission is about so much more than recovering plastic waste. I met the people behind this mission, who as beautifully said in the video, “turn garbage into blessings”. What stood out most was the pride they take in turning something discarded into something valuable, and finding meaning in the process. I’m honored to share our short film documenting this journey with all the people we met along the way, their voices, and hope that gives true meaning to what we do together. Thank you for being part of this journey.
